3.Technical Approach
Stack, hosting, third-party services and who pays for them, and what happens to the code (repo ownership). Enough detail to justify the price; not a free architecture document.
4.Milestones & Acceptance
Each milestone: deliverable, demo date, and acceptance criteria with a review window ('accepted unless issues raised within 5 business days'). Silent clients can't stall payment.
5.Pricing & Change Requests
Fixed price per milestone. New features mid-build are welcome — as written change orders with their own price. This sentence pays for the whole document.
6.Support & Warranty
Bug-fix warranty period post-launch (30 days is common), what counts as a bug vs. a change, and your maintenance retainer offer.
